Lucia De Luca has been a fixed-term researcher of type A (RTD-A) in Food Science and Technology (AGRI-07/A) at the Department of Agriculture of the University of Naples Federico II since December 2023. She has been a visiting scholar at Wageningen University & Research.
Her research activities focus on the characterization of food matrices and by-products of the agri-food industry using advanced analytical methods, the development of innovative extraction technologies for antioxidant and functional molecules, and the creation of products with high nutritional and sensory properties, with the aim of improving distribution, extending shelf life, and reducing processing waste.
She is the author of articles in international and national journals and has participated in numerous international conferences as a speaker. Additionally, she has contributed to the drafting and execution of research within various national and international projects.
