Stefano D’Ovidio teaches History of Medieval Art at the Department of Human Studies of the Universityof Naples Federico II. Post-doc Fellow of the Warburg Institute in London and the Bibliotheca Hertziana in Rome, he taught courses on medieval art and architecture for various academic institutions (Università Vanvitelli and Orientale in Naples, Birckbeck College London, Yale School of Architecture, Masaryk University Brno). He is a member of scientific committees of international conferences, publishing series and research projects (ERC, FRA, STAR). His researches focus on the production and the perception of medieval art in Southern Italy, with special regard to the relationship between visual arts, social dynamics and local identity. His publications include one monograph, two edited books and several articles in international periodicals.
