Born in Florence, always active in the Meeting & Event Industry, thanks to one special experience in the USA at Walt Disney World as Cultural Representative, she has worked first as a hostess for meetings then as a professional free-lance for some Italian PCO’s, later as the Conference Manager for a European Medical Association. From 2001 to 2015 she was business partner and Managing Director of Your Italian Planners by Studio Guidi, a PCO based in Florence.
Since 2002 she is member of MPI – Meeting Professionals International (www.mpiweb.org) and is actually member of the Communication Team: awarded in 2012 with MPI Loyalty Award, she was elected President of the Italia Chapter in 2015-2016 (www.mpiweb.it) and she was member of EAC European Advisory Council of MPI in 2018-2020.
For Federcongressi&Eventi she was member of the Toscana – Umbria – Marche Delegation in 2011-2013 and now delegate for the Campania Region.
Since 2015 she is the Manging Director of the start-up Convention Bureau Napoli (www.cbnapoli.com).
Regarding an active Social Responsability, she is the co-founder of the Non-Profit Generazione Contatti – Giovani e adulti comunicano and Event Manager of all its events around Italy born to raise attention on the “Drink or Drive” issue (www.testadialkol.it).
Born and raised in Napoli and always passionate about tourism, Chiara graduated cum laude in Tourism Economics after a study experience at the Leeds Beckett University (UK). She then got a P.h.D. degree in Tourism Management at the Federico II University. Her thesis was about the role of the Convention Bureaux in developing a M.I.C.E. destination brand.
She is author of several academic works about both tourism and congress industries, destination management and marketing.
In 2011, she started working in the event industry as a hostess for meetings.
Since 2015, year of its foundation, she works at the Convention Bureau Napoli (www.cbnapoli.com), where she actually covers the role of Project Leader.
Since 2016, she is member of the MPI Meeting Professionals International (www.mpiweb.org) Italia Chapter, where she is actually active part of the Communication Team.
Alessandra Saioni has always been interested in the themes of innovation; she
graduated cum laude in 1991 at the Istituto Universitario Orientale of Naples in Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures with a thesis entitled “The Computer and Multimedia perspectives in language teaching”.
Passionate about languages and interested in the world of aggregative events, she deepened her studies abroad (Brussels) following a Master in Meeting Management organized by the International Association MPI (Meeting Professional International) of which she has been a member since 1997.
She collaborated as a translator for various publishing houses and from 1994 to 1998 she was an employee of effe erre forme di Comunicazione, (an in-house company of the Città della Scienza of Naples) taking care of the organization of numerous national and international scientific events including such as numerous editions of the popular science exhibition “Futuro Remoto – A journey between science and science fiction”.
From this important experience, her desire to set up on his own was born and in 1998 he founded effe erre congressi, a communication company specialized in the organization of medium and large international conferences, taking care of the management and organization of over 1,000 events.
He has developed communication projects for numerous Public and Research Bodies, including CNR-IPCB (Institute for Composite and Biomaterial Polymers) IMAST Technological District s.c.a.r.l., and other Public and Private Companies.
She was lecturer at the “Istituto Universitario Orientale” of Naples for a course in”Humanistic Informatics” and at the “University of Sannio” for a course in “Economics and Management of Tourist Services” as well as numerous lectures as an expert in the congress sector for numerous Higher Education Institutes in Campania Region.
From 2008 to 2011 she was Head of Communication for the AT Coroglio Consortium, a Consortium that brings together 37 companies in the ICT, Environment, Communication sector, at the BIC (Business Innovation Center) of Città della Scienza di Napoli.
From 2010 to 2012 she was National Head of Communication for Federcongressi & Eventi (National Association of the MICE sector).
Always interested in social and educational issues, she was a member of AGESCI (Association of Italian Catholic Guides and Scouts), holding positions of responsibility for several years.
