Full professor at the Department of Agriculture of the University of Naples Federico II where he teaches Silviculture and Forest mensuration and Forest management. He holds a PhD in Arboriculture for Wood from the University of Basilicata and a MSc degree in Forestry Sciences from the University of Florence. The research interests are presently focused on the mechanisms and processes that modulate the functioning of Mediterranean forest ecosystems, studied at spatial and temporal scale variables.
